Job Description
The Assistant Project Officer will be responsible for leading the implementation and coordination of SRHR activities in Kalangala District, including cervical cancer screening, testing, referral for treatment, and the HPV vaccination campaign. The role also involves training public and private health facilities on Results-Based Financing (RBF) and conducting social mobilization and demand creation activities. Additionally, the officer will participate in data collection, analysis, reporting, and monitoring to ensure the project's success.
The position also requires collaboration with consortium partners (Amref and Mifumi) to create synergy and represent CORDAID in partner engagement events. The officer will develop quarterly work plans and budgets and assist in proposal development and reporting.

How to Apply
Lead the implementation and coordination of SRHR activities, including cervical cancer screening and HPV vaccination in Kalangala District.
Train and mentor public and private health facilities on RBF modalities and service delivery.
Develop monthly and weekly activity plans and submit them for approval.
Conduct data collection, analysis, and reporting for project progress.
Work collaboratively with consortium staff to ensure synergy in project implementation.
Coordinate social mobilization and demand creation activities.
Ensure representation and participation in all relevant partner engagement events and forums.
Assess and determine relevant information for planning, monitoring, and evaluation.
Maintain accurate data in PME formats and provide insightful analysis.
Develop quarterly work plans and budgets for validation.
Monitor budget vs. expenses and immediately report any discrepancies.
Deliver timely and quality input for project reports as requested.
Assist with communication and documentation for project campaigns and events.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Project Manager.
Manage project-related security matters and advise on security plans.
Uphold the code of conduct and integrity policies, reporting any concerns
Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Public Health, Nursing/Midwifery, Clinical Medicine, or a related discipline.
Registered Midwife/Nurse or Clinical Officer preferred.
Strong knowledge of RMNCAH and SGBV, including cervical cancer screening and HPV vaccination.
Experience in delivering cervical cancer screening and HPV vaccination campaigns.
Familiarity with Results-Based Financing and health systems strengthening in Uganda.
Technical skills in health research, program performance assessment, and data analysis.
Proficiency in Windows, Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and DHIS2.
Excellent command of English and Luganda.
Strong communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
Flexibility to work in Kalangala District.
