The Uganda National Institute of Teacher Education (UNITE) is a newly established autonomous institution under the Ministry of Education and Sports, with the mission to enhance the quality of teacher education through professional development, research, and innovation in teaching and learning. Built on the legacy of Kyambogo University's teacher training heritage, UNITE aims to transform Uganda’s education sector by equipping educators with 21st-century pedagogical skills and fostering a learner-centered approach.
The institute is gaining recognition as a pivotal player in elevating teacher professionalism and standards, with a strong focus on inclusivity, ethics, and lifelong learning.
