The National Building Review Board (NBRB) is a statutory body under Uganda’s Ministry of Works and Transport, established to ensure the enforcement of building standards and promote the development of safe, sustainable, and accessible built environments across the country. Driven by its mission to regulate the building industry through oversight, capacity building, and compliance enforcement, NBRB has earned recognition for championing structural integrity, public safety, and urban resilience.
Since its inception under the Building Control Act, 2013, the Board has evolved into a critical player in Uganda’s construction and infrastructure landscape, working closely with local authorities, professionals, and stakeholders to uphold national building codes.
