Established in November 2008, the Human Rights Centre Uganda (HRCU) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting and protecting human rights, with a particular focus on the rights of Human Rights Defenders (HRDs) in Uganda. HRCU envisions a society where all individuals enjoy universally recognized human rights and fundamental freedoms, and it has earned recognition for its commitment to integrity, professionalism, and respect for all individuals.
The organization fosters a collaborative work culture, emphasizing synergy and cooperation among human rights actors, and offers opportunities for professionals passionate about human rights to contribute to its mission.
