Overview of the Shortlist

The Uganda Police Force (UPF) has officially announced the shortlist for the Probationer Police Constable (PPC) recruitment. A total of 16,678 candidates have made the list. These individuals are now eligible to proceed to the next phase of the recruitment. This recruitment is part of a nationwide initiative to bolster the police force ahead of the anticipated security demands for the 2026 general elections.

Interview Process for Shortlisted Candidates

The shortlisted candidates are scheduled to undergo interviews starting April 28, 2025. These interviews will take place at designated regional and district recruitment centers. Despite having a significant number of shortlisted applicants, the UPF plans to recruit and train only 10,000 PPCs from this selection. This strategy aligns with the government's broader goal to enhance public safety and law enforcement capabilities in the coming years.

Preparing for the Interview

Candidates are encouraged to thoroughly review the official shortlist. It is vital for each applicant to prepare adequately for the interview. Only those who meet the selection criteria will progress to the training program.

📌 Where to Access the Shortlist

The complete list of shortlisted candidates is available on the official Uganda Police website. Additionally, the list can be found at selected Police regional headquarters and notice boards throughout the country.
