The Uganda Peoples’ Defence Forces (UPDF) has released the UPDF Recruitment Shortlists 2025 following the recent nationwide application exercise. All aspiring candidates who submitted their applications are advised to check the shortlist through the official UPDF website or visit their respective District or Municipal Headquarters.
The physical recruitment exercise will take place from 05 August 2025 to 15 August 2025 across various recruitment centers as previously announced. All shortlisted candidates are expected to appear only at their designated recruitment centers.
All candidates whose names appear on the UPDF Recruitment Shortlists 2025 must adhere to the following guidelines:
Report with three (3) passport-sized photographs.
Bring an application letter signed by LC1, DISO, and GISO.
Carry original academic documents (no photocopies).
If you didn’t indicate your district of residence in the application, report to the district stated on your National ID.
Forged documents will lead to prosecution.
Only shortlisted candidates will be allowed at the recruitment venues.
Recruitment into UPDF is FREE.
Be aware of fraudsters and conmen demanding money.
Candidates who successfully pass the recruitment exercise will be required to report to the Kaweweta Basic Military Training School in Ngoma–Nakaseke District within three (3) days after recruitment.
