According to a statement issued by the UPS, all interviews will start promptly at 9:00 a.m. each day at various designated regional recruitment centers across the country. Shortlisted applicants are urged to strictly adhere to their assigned interview dates and venues as specified in their invitation notices.

Speaking on the matter, Frank Baine Mayanja, Senior Commissioner of Prisons and Deputy Director in charge of Corporate and Public Affairs, emphasized the integrity of the recruitment process.

“Only those who were shortlisted will be interviewed,” he said. “We urge all candidates to present their original academic documents, national identification card, and bring along a notebook and pen. Anyone found with forged documents will be immediately handed over to police.”

In addition, Baine warned the public against falling victim to recruitment scams.

The entire recruitment process is free of charge. There are no money transactions involved at any stage. Do not pay anyone claiming to facilitate or guarantee your recruitment,” he cautioned.

This recruitment exercise is part of the Uganda Prisons Service's ongoing mission to enhance its human resource capacity and uphold discipline, integrity, and professionalism within Uganda’s correctional system.

Candidates and members of the public are advised to stay alert and report any suspicious recruitment-related activities to the nearest police station or UPS office.
