These are short-term contract opportunities designed to support the smooth running of the upcoming elections while strengthening Uganda’s democratic process.
The Electoral Commission of Uganda is an independent constitutional body established in 1995. It is mandated to organize, conduct, and supervise elections and referenda in Uganda. The Commission has earned local and international recognition for its commitment to transparency, impartiality, and credibility in electoral management.
With a mission to ensure free and fair elections, the Commission has embraced innovations such as biometric voter registration and electronic results transmission. For the General Elections 2026, the Commission is recruiting 183 IT Support Officers to provide technical expertise at national and district levels.
The Electoral Commission is looking for competent IT professionals to support electoral technology systems during the General Elections 2026. As an IT Support Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability and security of ICT systems used in the elections.
