Young African Refugees For Integral Development (YARID)
As the youth Engagement Officer will lead the design and implementation of the youth activities and ensure the dissemination of gender transformative information to key stakeholders in the YARID operation areas. YARID is seeking for a Youth Engagement personnel to lead the sports and development department in ensuring that youth have access to sports activities to support their physical and mental health growth.

Design strategies that will ensure that the needs of young people and women of reproductive age are adequately addressed and enhance their access to a range of key services that include family Planning/ Reproductive Health information/services, post GBV care.
Create sports activities that focus on improving the physical and mental health of the young people in the community.
Lead development/adaptation of technical tools in consultation with the relevant program staff and other key stakeholders at all stages of the project implementation.
Provide technical support and build the capacity of program teams, staff teams and other partners in integrating providing care and support services to young people and women of reproductive age.
Provide technical guidance during the development of the program's annual work plan and participate in the planning and budgeting activities.
Manage project finances and other resources related to the implementation of activities in the assigned locations in line with the project’s finance guidelines.
Design and adapt communication strategies for targeting young people & women of reproductive age to create behavior change in the community.
Develop plans for promoting risk reduction and health-seeking behaviors among adolescents and young women

A bachelor's degree in Social Science, Social Work, Youth development, or any other related field
Additional training at certificate level in management of sports youth programs is of added advantage.
A minimum of 2 years’ experience in management/coordination of Adolescent/Youth Sexual Reproductive Health interventions /community engagement.
Knowledge of Adolescent Sexual Reproductive Health Policies and strategies.
Fluency in English.
Knowledge of languages spoken by refugees such as French, Swahili, etc. will be considered an added advantage.
Excellent digital literacy competencies and conversant with e-commerce platforms.
Excellent communication skills and ability to convey information effectively both in verbal and written formats.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of urban/community development.
Service-oriented with good interpersonal and facilitation skills.
Experience in skilling sectors and with refugees is considered an added advantage.
