  • Reading Blueprints: Interpret and understand blueprints, sketches, and specifications to determine the layout and welding requirements of the project.

  • Preparing Materials: Prepare metal surfaces by cleaning, cutting, and grinding to ensure proper fit and welding. Measure and cut metal components using various tools and equipment.

  • Diploma / certificate in welding and fabrication.

  • 3 Years hands on practical experience.

  • Technical Skills: Strong technical knowledge and proficiency in various welding techniques and equipment are essential. Welders should have a thorough understanding of metal properties, welding processes, and safety procedures.

  • Experience: Previous experience in welding or a related field is typically required. Entry-level positions may require completion of a welding program or apprenticeship, while more advanced roles may require several years of experience.

  • Certifications: Some positions may require certification or licensure in specific welding techniques or processes. Common certifications include Certified Welder (CW), Certified Welding Inspector (CWI), and American Welding Society (AWS) certifications.

  • Physical Fitness: Welding can be physically demanding, requiring strength, stamina, and manual dexterity. Welders should be able to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, and work in confined spaces or at heights.

  • Attention to Detail: Attention to detail is crucial for producing high-quality welds and ensuring that welds meet specified requirements and standards.
