Reading and Interpreting Blueprints and Specifications:

• Understanding technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols to determine the required welding process and materials.

Preparing Materials and Equipment:

• Setting up and operating welding equipment, such as torches, grinders, and welding machines.

• Preparing metal surfaces by cleaning, cutting, or grinding to ensure proper welds.

Performing Welding Operations:

• Using various welding techniques, including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), stick, and flux-cored arc welding, to join metal parts.

• Welding components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions, depending on project requirements.

Inspecting Welds and Materials:

• Examining workpieces for defects and measuring workpieces to ensure conformance with specifications.

• Using measuring instruments, such as calipers, gauges, and micrometers, to check weld quality and dimensions.

Maintaining Equipment and Work Area:

• Performing routine maintenance and repairs on welding equipment.

• Keeping the work area clean and organized, ensuring tools and materials are stored properly.
