How to Apply
Responsibilities:
Ensure accurate receiving and dispatch transactions.
Monitor and track internal warehouse stock movements.
Confer and coordinate activities with other departments.
Adhere and implement warehouse operational standard procedures.
Conduct monthly stock counts and reconciliations.
Ensure proper housekeeping and orderliness on the warehouse floor.
Ensure SHE compliance in the warehouse.
Maintain activity records and documents with necessary information.
Update and share activity reports as required.
Propose improvement projects and cost savings ideas.
Any other task assigned by the Warehouse Manager
Pro-active participation in SHE activities and company programs
Strict adherence and follow-up to warehouse KPI’s
Coffee handling and exports:
Ensure accurate coffee transfer, receiving and dispatch activities.
Maintain activity records and share activity reports as required.
Update stock management systems and participate in periodic stock counts and reconciliations.
Ensure correct loading of coffee for export as per the shipment plan and loading orders
Supervise coffee containerization and sealing.
Ensure the bag marks are done aligned with the client request and Execution confirmation
Floor management:
Ensure proper housekeeping and orderliness on the warehouse floor.
Monitor supplies (non-coffee items) usage and periodical reporting for timely re-ordering
Ensure proper segregation of coffee grades, quality
Ensure coffee labeling, locations are up-to-date
Ensure all warehouse machines are working efficiently
Allocation of duties to contracted labor.
Monitor activity-based costs in the warehouse.
Ensure SHE compliance in the warehouse.
Food Safety Responsibilities:
Planning, setting up and implementing the food safety system in your areas of responsibility including collecting information of PRP’s and HACCP; Pest Control, Storage/FIFO, Sanitation and Personnel Hygiene
Ensure that the coffee is traceable.
Comply with good hygiene practices.
Responsibility for internal audits
To excel in this role, we’re seeking a candidate with:
Proven Experience:
At least 3 years of hands-on inventory control experience.
Prior experience in the coffee or commodities industry is a plus.
Essential Knowledge:
A deep understanding of best storage practices.
Educational Background:
A minimum of a Diploma in a business-related field.
Language Proficiency: Fluency in English and Luganda.
Technical Skills: Basic familiarity with warehouse management systems.
