Job Description
The Warehouse and Logistics Manager will oversee the daily operations of the warehouse, ensuring efficient receipt, storage, and distribution of materials and finished goods. The role involves developing and implementing inventory control systems, managing inbound and outbound logistics, and aligning warehousing processes with production and delivery schedules. The manager will lead a team of logistics personnel, enforce health and safety standards, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and promote continuous process improvement. This position requires strong coordination across procurement, production, and customer service functions, as well as effective budget management.

Oversee daily warehouse operations including receipt, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch
Implement inventory control procedures such as cycle counts and stock audits
Optimize warehouse layout for storage efficiency and productivity
Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics, including route planning and carrier management
Negotiate freight rates and monitor transport schedules to meet delivery timelines
Supervise, train, and evaluate warehouse and logistics staff
Ensure adherence to occupational health, safety, and environmental regulations
Monitor product storage conditions to maintain quality and compliance
Track logistics KPIs (e.g., delivery performance, cost efficiency, stock accuracy)
Drive continuous improvement through lean practices and process optimization
Align logistics with production planning and customer service requirements
Prepare and manage the logistics and warehouse budget
Maintain documentation, update SOPs, and manage vendor contracts
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Transport and Logistics, Procurement, or related field
Master’s degree in a relevant field is an added advantage
Professional certifications such as CILT or CLM are highly preferred
6–8 years of experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry
Strong knowledge of inventory management and stock optimization
Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Odoo
Excellent team leadership, motivation, and training skills
Proficiency in performance monitoring and data reporting
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication abilities
