As part of our commitment to operational excellence and road safety, we are seeking a qualified Vehicle Tracking Systems Analyst to support both company and contractor operations in Uganda.
Job Summary
The Vehicle Tracking Systems Analyst will play a critical role in improving driving performance, enhancing road safety, and ensuring compliance through data analysis and monitoring of In-Vehicle Monitoring Systems (IVMS) and vehicle tracking technologies.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Monitor and analyze data from IVMS and vehicle tracking systems to identify driving behaviors and performance trends.
Act as the subject matter expert on vehicle data recorder interpretation and analytics.
Conduct risk assessments related to both heavy and light vehicle operations using qualitative and quantitative methods.
Collaborate with operational teams to develop and implement corrective action plans where needed.
Support driving safety initiatives and conduct regular safety assessments for company drivers.
Monitor incident trends and carry out root cause analyses for road safety incidents.
Prepare and present safety reports, performance trends, and findings to management and key stakeholders.
Stay up to date with road safety laws and government regulations, assessing their impact on operations.
Share best practices in logistics and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Assist in evaluating and enhancing road safety compliance among contractors and third-party logistics providers.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Education:
Diploma in Information Technology, Transport, Logistics, or a related field is preferred.
Safety training certification is required.
Experience:
1–2 years of experience in transportation, fleet monitoring, road safety, or logistics operations.
Hands-on experience with IVMS or other vehicle tracking systems is highly desirable.
Skills:
Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
Excellent communication and reporting abilities.
Familiarity with road safety standards and best practices.
Flexible to work various shifts as required.
