Job Description
As a Vehicle Stripper and Vehicle Assembler, you will take on dual responsibilities that include vehicle disassembly and assembly. In the disassembly process, you will remove damaged parts such as bumpers, fenders, and doors, labeling and storing them for reassembly. You will efficiently strip vehicles using hand tools and power tools while adhering to safety protocols.
On the assembly side, you will install critical vehicle components such as engines, transmissions, and doors. Using various hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment, you will ensure parts are fitted securely and meet quality standards. Regular inspections of assembled parts will be conducted to confirm that all components meet the required specifications. Additionally, you will perform maintenance on machinery and follow detailed assembly diagrams to ensure accurate and efficient operations.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Disassemble vehicles for repair, restoration, and recycling
Remove damaged parts, such as bumpers, fenders, and doors
Label and store parts for reassembly
Use hand tools and power tools to strip vehicles efficiently
Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines at all times
Assemble vehicle components like engines, transmissions, and doors
Fit and secure parts using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
Inspect assembled parts to ensure they meet quality standards
Perform basic maintenance on assembly machinery and equipment
Follow detailed assembly diagrams and technical specifications
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Minimum 3 years of experience in vehicle disassembly and assembly or a similar role
In-depth knowledge of automotive parts and components
Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
High attention to detail and focus on quality
Ability to work efficiently within a team setting
Strong ability to work in a fast-paced environment
