Job Description
This role involves timeous execution of planned and emergency maintenance on HVAC systems and water reticulation units, aligned with the company's maintenance strategy and client service agreements. The technician must adhere to equipment service specifications, perform inspections, ensure compliance with legal and job plan requirements, and maintain constant communication with supervisors and clients regarding operations. Quality workmanship and timely completion of tasks are essential.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Execute equipment servicing based on Client and Company specifications
Install and commission air-conditioning and water systems as per specifications
Perform scheduled, preventative, and emergency maintenance
Inspect facilities and identify areas of HVAC-related risks
Ensure compliance with legislation, SLAs, and job plans during maintenance
Deliver high-quality workmanship within designated timelines
Provide continuous updates to supervisors and clients on operational restoration

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Education:
Matric (Senior Certificate)
N3 – N6 in Mechanical Engineering
Certifications:
Trade-Test in HVAC (Air-conditioning & Refrigeration) – Mandatory
Additional Trade-Test in Electrical – Advantageous
Licensing:
Valid SA Driver’s License
Experience:
5–8 years in HVAC equipment maintenance, including 3 years post-trade
Experience with digital control systems
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook (Intermediate level)
SAP knowledge
Strong understanding of the OHS Act
