Job Description
The Unit Manager will be responsible for building, leading, and managing a high-performing team of insurance sales agents. The role focuses on driving sales growth, achieving business targets, ensuring compliance with company policies, and maintaining high standards of professionalism and customer service within the agency unit.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Recruit, onboard, train, and mentor insurance sales agents to build a productive and motivated team.
- Set sales targets and performance goals in line with Old Mutual Uganda’s business objectives.
- Monitor team performance, provide coaching, and implement corrective actions to improve productivity.
- Drive new business development, client acquisition, and retention within the assigned unit.
- Ensure compliance with insurance regulations, company policies, and ethical sales practices.
- Prepare and submit regular performance, sales, and activity reports to management.
- Promote Old Mutual’s brand values and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Support agents with sales strategies, market insights, and customer engagement initiatives.
