How to Apply
The Transport Officer/Driver exercises supervisory oversight over contract drivers and service quality.
Makes transportation arrangements for staff.
Verifies that the organization’s and contractors’ vehicles are in sound mechanical order and road-safe.
Schedules maintenance and repairs for the organization’s fleet.
Makes recommendations on transport policy, procedures, and safety of personnel “in itinerary”.
Assesses the skills and observation of the Road Code for all drivers of the organization’s vehicles.
Arranges defensive driving refreshers and other road safety training for the organization’s drivers.
Monitors fuel usage in all the organization’s vehicles and reconciles with the distance travelled in monthly reports.

Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Transport and Logistics Management
Must have a valid Driver’s Licenses
Solid passenger driving experience of at least 7 years in Uganda
Knowledge of traffic laws, fleet tracking systems, and vehicle maintenance.
Familiarity with logistics planning, route scheduling, and fuel usage monitoring.
Competence in report writing, basic budgeting, and record keeping.
