Position: Transport Manager

Purpose of the Job
The Transport Manager will oversee and optimize all transportation operations, including workshop management. This role ensures that all vehicles, equipment, and tools are maintained in excellent condition, safe, and fully operational to support the company’s objectives.

How to Apply
Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of the vehicle fleet.
Assist in recruiting qualified drivers and mechanics.
Assign duties and monitor the performance of drivers and mechanics.
Evaluate and appraise staff performance regularly.
Collaborate with the purchasing department to advise on the procurement of spare parts.
Develop and implement strategies to minimize downtime, prevent theft of parts, and control misuse of fuel and vehicles.
Ensure all vehicles have valid insurance, road licenses, and pass necessary inspections on time.
Assess accident damage costs and manage insurance claims efficiently.
Oversee vehicle fueling operations and maintain precise fuel consumption records.
Ensure vehicles are clean and in good working condition at all times.
Enforce discipline and adherence to company policies among drivers and mechanics.
Coordinate and arrange transport logistics for external assignments as required.

Key Competencies and Skills
Strong leadership, organizational, and decision-making capabilities.
Willingness and availability to travel to upcountry locations or other areas as needed.
Ability to respond promptly to emergencies or vehicle breakdowns at any time.
Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Extensive experience in transportation management, ideally within the private security sector.
Solid knowledge of transportation laws, regulations, and safety standards.
Exceptional problem-solving and organizational skills.
Educational Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in a demanding, fast-paced organization.
