Job Title: Trade Finance Specialist
Organisation: Pride Bank

Job Summary:
The Trade Finance Specialist will report to the Manager Credit Evaluation-SME and will be based at Head office. He/ she will responsible for supporting and implementing strategies to grow Pride’s trade finance business portfolio in line with Pride’s business plan and policies.

How to Apply
Specific responsibilities include:
Risk Management
Review and ensure appropriate structuring of Trade Finance credit proposals submitted by the relationship officers-SME for accuracy and compliance with the credit policy before presentation to the relevant approval committees/users.
Support growth of Pride’s trade portfolio by implementing and refining trade finance procedures and processes to make them simpler and improving turnaround time without compromising the quality of the portfolio and ensuring that all risk is mitigated.
Structure the Trade Finance deals in accordance with the assessed customers’ needs and credit worthiness and with the approval of Trade Finance Deals in accordance with the delegated approval limits.
Process trade Finance facilities in the system
Recommend appropriate pricing for trade finance products on a revenue / expense basis, monitor income collection and ensure no income leakage, whilst growing the revenue line.
Evaluate counter party credit risks associated with trade finance, identify them and recommend to management risk counter measures
Customer Centricity
Conduct periodic customer visits/meetings to gain understanding of the customer needs for effective customer service and business growth.
Provide clear and timely feedback to Relationship Officers-SME on all credit applications within the SLA’s
Maintain the highest levels of customer service, insuring that the appropriate and recommended SLA’s are met both to the customer and Pride.
Regular customer visits to appreciate the business and customer needs in order to address them in a timely manner.
Financial Responsibility
Manage finances in accordance to the laid down procedures with guidance from the supervisor.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, economics, finance, or a related field;
3 years’ experience in handling trade Finance business
Excellent computer skills (Excel sheets)
Analytical, Reporting and Communication skills
Decision Making, Team work and Attention to details
Ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision.
