Job Overview
• We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Technical Sales Manager to join a dynamic team at a Power Generating Company. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in selling power generators and related equipment, with 3-5 years of relevant industry experience. As a Technical Sales Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving sales growth and establishing strong customer relationships within the power generation sector.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Strategy and Execution:

  • Develop and execute effective sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue targets for power generators and associated products. Identify potential markets, clients, and opportunities for growth, considering market trends, competitor analysis, and customer needs.


Client Relationship Management:

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients in the power generation industry. Understand clients' needs, challenges, and requirements, and provide tailored solutions that address their specific power generation needs. Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction throughout the sales process and beyond.


Product Knowledge and Technical Expertise:

  • Possess an in-depth understanding of our power generators, their technical specifications, features, and benefits. Provide technical guidance and support to clients, helping them make informed decisions based on their power generation requirements. Collaborate with the technical team to ensure accurate communication of customer needs and technical specifications.


Proposal Development:

  • Prepare and present comprehensive proposals that align with clients' needs and emphasize the unique value of our power generator solutions. Collaborate with internal teams to customize proposals, considering technical feasibility, pricing, and delivery timelines.


Market Intelligence and Analysis:

  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and emerging technologies in the power generation sector. Analyze market data to identify opportunities for new product development, enhancements, or modifications based on customer preferences and market demands. Sales Reporting and Forecasting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and sales pipeline using CRM tools. Provide regular sales forecasts, performance reports, and insights to the management team.


Team Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, engineering, and customer support, to ensure seamless customer experiences from pre-sale to post-sale stages. Provide mentorship and guidance to junior members of the sales team, sharing industry insights and sales techniques.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.

  • 3-5 years of proven experience in technical sales, specifically within the power generation sector, with a focus on selling generators and related equipment.

  • Strong technical acumen and the ability to communicate complex concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a customer-centric approach.

  • Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.

  • Willingness to travel for client meetings, trade shows, and industry events as required.
