The purpose of this role is to partner with the market leadership team in shaping the people agenda to drive business performance. This includes considerations for talent acquisition, employer branding and operational effectiveness ensuring HIL remains attractive to external talent and internal talent thrives and delivers outstanding performance.
Job Responsibility
Talent Acquisition – strategic sourcing to fuel business performance while driving a progressive Inclusion & Diversity in partnership market business leaders.
Manage the end-to-end recruitment process for all roles, considering business priorities and inclusion & diversity agenda.
Manage the recruitment budget on an annual basis. This includes agency fees, EVP activities, background check costs, and all other relevant talent engagement expenses.
Participate in the Inclusion and Diversity projects launched globally, with management of the talent representation pillar as specified locally.
Draft and present offers to successful internal and external candidates.
External agency relationship management and budget adherence.
Candidate Experience – superior candidate experience at all touch points
Effectively manage onboarding experience for new hires, in partnership with relevant stakeholders.
Manage feedback to candidates on application status and post interview feedback.
Manage feedback from candidates and internal stakeholders.
Strategic Pipelining - strengthen talent in critical must-win areas.
In partnership with Market HR Leaders, identify business critical roles for pipelining, creating future bench strength.
Embedding strategic pipeline initiatives agreed upon by the business.
Improve the Quality and Diversity of Hiring by building hiring manager capability on hiring for performance.
Employer Branding
Enhance HIL’s reputation as an Employer of Choice in the market by establishing relevance through messaging with strong career lens and leveraging the EVP Pillars.
Drive more awareness of company brand in market.
Work with Global EVP team to initiate and execute EVP projects in the market and the broader Africa continent through social media platforms.
Operational Excellence
Embed all compliance requirements within the talent engagement and broader HR space. This includes but not limited to: Role time-to-fill (TTF), necessary background checks completed per candidate, and adherence to all external communication requirements.
Coaching, training, and supporting line managers in the application of talent engagement tools/updates.

Educational Requirement
A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related discipline.
Experience Requirement
At least 5 years strong functional HR experience.
Experience of being an active coach and contributor at leadership team level is essential.
