Specific responsibilities include.

• Ensure bancassurance business growth and development through supervising daily bancassurance sales activities across the bank network and driving achievement of premium income, policy volumes for both new and renewal insurance business.
• Work closely with the branch teams to achieve pipeline conversion, track sales pipelines and proactively resolve conversion bottlenecks
• Implement day to day insurance operations alongside the Pride Insurance broker and insurance partners to deliver efficiency and profitability of the bancassurance business.
• Effective Management, Monitoring, and reconciliation of the Bancassurance Insurance Premiums i.e. timely collection of commissions from the insurer and performing commission reconciliations as per the banks policies and procedures.
• Prepare and conduct periodic awareness trainings and capacity building within the Bank to ensure closure of insurance knowledge gaps.
• Engage in business review meetings with Insurance partners to discuss new prospective insurance products, budget achievements and product uptake.
• Consistently research, monitor and implement strategies to ensure growth in Pride market share of the Bancassurance product.
• Monitor and ensure effective control and mitigation of risks associated with the Bancassurance business
• Overall responsibility for preparation and submission of bancassurance daily, weekly, monthly daily sales traction through management and regulatory periodic returns reports
• Ensure all bancassurance activities are in full compliance with; Insurance Regulatory Authority (IRA), Bank of Uganda and Pride Bank internal policies
• Support both internal and external audits, assurance reviews, and regulatory inspections.
• Develop, implement, and administer sales programs and promotions as necessary to maximize contribution of the Bancassurance product to the Bank’s Balance sheet and Income statement.
• Act as an escalation point for complex customer complaints and claims while monitoring service turnaround times and insurer Service Level agreements.
• Oversee proper bancassurance documentation, policy issuance, premium collection, and record keeping.
• Support on any other roles and activities allocated by Manager Digital Products and Bancassurance to support grow Pride balance sheet and Income Statement.
