Job Title: Supervisor – Cane Yard
Department/Programme: Factory
Section/Project: Mechanical
Reports To: Superintendent – Shift
Supervises: Cane Yard Operators
Overall Purpose of the Job
The Supervisor – Cane Yard is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all cane yard operations during the shift to ensure that the targeted cane crushing capacity is consistently achieved. The role includes supervising staff, ensuring equipment functionality, and maintaining workplace cleanliness and safety.

How to Apply
Continuously monitor the performance of the under carrier and under feeder tables to ensure smooth operation.
Ensure sugarcane is offloaded at designated locations and that truck drivers adhere to proper offloading procedures.
Verify attendance and punctuality of all subordinate staff and ensure they are effectively deployed.
Maintain discipline among cane yard staff and promptly address any work-related concerns or grievances.
Ensure that feeder tables, under carriers, and surrounding areas are kept clean and free from obstructions.
Confirm that all cane handling equipment is operating properly and assist with equipment cleaning when necessary.
Enforce compliance with the company’s Safety, Health, and Environment policies.
Perform any other related duties as assigned by the Shift Superintendent or Management. Flexibility to work in other areas of the company may be required.

Education:
A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
A certificate in basic Supervisory Management is an added advantage.
Experience, Skills, and Competencies
One to two years of experience in a similar or related role.
Experience working with shift-based teams is beneficial.
Strong supervisory skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
