Specialist, Digital Workplace Technology job at Save the Children International

Job Description
As part of the Enterprise Technology team, the Specialist will define and execute SCI’s digital workplace strategy. They will develop technical roadmaps, manage deployments, monitor performance, and ensure effective use of collaboration tools. The role includes optimizing license management, ensuring compliance with security protocols, supporting end-users with technical guidance, and enabling the rollout and adoption of AI tools. The Specialist will also remain up to date with advancements in Microsoft and other workplace technologies, providing recommendations for continuous improvement.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Define and implement SCI’s digital workplace strategy, aligning with business needs.
Develop roadmaps, standards, and engineering procedures for Microsoft 365 and related tools.
Assess and recommend new workplace tools or license upgrades.
Optimize collaboration tools (Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive) to enhance organizational communication.
Plan, schedule, and manage deployments, upgrades, and end-of-life replacements.
Provide technical support, training, and guidance to end-users.
Manage CoreView, license pools, entitlements, and align assignments with CO requirements.
Ensure compliance with SCI’s security protocols and Child Protection Policy.
Support rollout and adoption of AI tools in collaboration with the AI team.
Monitor developments in Microsoft and related technologies, recommending improvements.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Essential
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
Strong proficiency in administration and configuration of Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Azure Active Directory.
Experience in designing and deploying solutions using Microsoft technologies.
In-depth understanding of Active Directory and Azure Active Directory implementations.
Knowledge of IT security principles, threat analysis, and mitigation.
Experience with IT service management and change management tools (ITIL standards).
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Desirable
ITIL Certification.
Microsoft certifications (e.g., Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, Azure Fundamentals).
Experience managing vendor relationships and product roadmaps.
Hands-on experience handling critical system issues and escalation with vendors.
