Job Description
The Special Administration Manager will oversee end-to-end administration of investment products, from client onboarding through to client exit, ensuring efficient processes and compliance with regulatory requirements. The role requires planning and managing capacity to meet business needs, improving efficiency through process re-engineering and automation, and ensuring effective risk management. The incumbent will also be responsible for building and maintaining a capable, high-performing team, developing talent retention strategies, and driving performance. The position requires a strong focus on client satisfaction, operational excellence, and strategic alignment with Nedgroup Investments’ objectives.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Manage financial risks and minimize losses through effective processes.
Track, measure, and analyze operational processes for efficiency.
Ensure capacity planning meets business requirements.
Drive process improvements, including re-engineering and automation.
Lead and maintain a high-performing team through career development and retention programs.
Oversee administration of investment products end-to-end.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements governing investment products and processes.
Manage client service delivery, ensuring satisfaction and adherence to service levels.
Maintain effective communication with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Essential:
Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate.
Honour’s Degree or equivalent professional qualification.
7+ years of experience in financial services (asset management).
7+ years in investment administration management.
5+ years in people management roles.
Experience in automating or digitizing processes.
Experience as a Team Leader or Manager in a Client Services Centre in asset management.
Strong understanding of the regulatory environment governing investment products.
Preferred:
Honour’s Degree in Commerce.
Technical / Professional Knowledge:
Strategic planning and budgeting.
Financial accounting principles.
Business administration, operations planning, and staff resource management.
Governance, risk, and controls.
Change management and project management principles.
Client service principles and management.
Business communication strategies and writing skills.
Behavioural Competencies:
Building partnerships and leading change.
Coaching, delegating, and empowering teams.
Planning and organizing.
Building and retaining talent.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
