Social Media Officer Job at M-Forte

Job Description
The Social Media Officer is responsible for managing and growing the company’s digital presence to strengthen brand awareness, showcase products, support sales teams, and position the company as a leading manufacturer in its field in Uganda and the region. The role bridges manufacturing operations and the market by translating technical production processes into compelling digital content.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Social Media Strategy & Planning
- Develop and execute a quarterly and monthly social media strategy aligned with company sales targets.
- Identify key customer segments (retailers, distributors, wholesalers, industrial clients).
- Position the company as a trusted, quality-focused manufacturer.
- Content Creation & Brand Storytelling
Create high-quality content showcasing:
- Product lines (household items, packaging materials, industrial plastics, etc.)
- Factory processes and quality control standards
- New product launches
- CSR initiatives and community impact
- Capture and edit factory photos and short-form videos.
- Develop educational content on proper product usage and benefits.
- Maintain consistent brand voice and visual identity.
Sales Support & Lead Generation
- Drive product inquiries through social media platforms.
- Promote trade discounts, promotions, and distributor opportunities.
- Support field sales teams with digital marketing materials.
- Create targeted campaigns to grow B2B partnerships.
Community & Reputation Management
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries and complaints online.
- Monitor reviews and manage brand reputation professionally.
- Engage distributors and retail partners through digital channels.
Digital Advertising
- Plan and manage paid social media campaigns.
- Promote seasonal offers, exhibitions, and industry events.
- Optimize ads for reach, engagement, and conversion.
Analytics & Reporting
- Track and analyze performance metrics (engagement, reach, inquiries, conversion).
- Prepare monthly reports with actionable recommendations.
- Benchmark performance against competitors in the plastics and manufacturing sector.
Internal Collaboration
- Work closely with Production to capture real-time factory updates.
- Coordinate with Finance and Sales on promotions and product pricing updates.
- Liaise with external designers, printers, and media agencies where necessary.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Increase in qualified sales inquiries via social media.
- Growth in followers and engagement rate.
- Consistent content calendar execution.
- Successful digital campaign performance.
- Improved brand perception and online reputation.
