Audit Leadership & Planning

• Lead the development and execution of the annual audit plan

• Manage and coordinate company-wide financial control evaluations

• Oversee the planning, prioritization, and execution of internal audits

Risk & Control Evaluation

• Identify and assess organizational risks; ensure adequate risk mitigation measures

• Monitor the effectiveness of internal control systems and recommend improvements

• Support business units with control strategy alignment and implementation

Team Management & Capacity Building

• Supervise, coach, and mentor audit team members; manage performance and development

• Facilitate knowledge transfer, skills development, and succession planning

• Conduct human resources functions: job descriptions, recruitment, training, etc.

Stakeholder Engagement & Reporting

• Work closely with senior and executive management to communicate findings and support implementation of recommendations

• Liaise with external auditors and assurance providers professionally

• Prepare and present reports to the Audit Committee and other governance bodies

Compliance & Methodology

• Ensure adherence to International Internal Auditing Standards (IIA), IFRS, and MTN Group audit methodologies

• Promote awareness of internal controls, risk management, and ethical standards throughout the organization

• Continuously improve the internal audit methodology and tools

Strategic Support

• Support cross-functional assurance processes, including risk assessments and revenue protection

• Provide thought leadership on audit best practices and industry trends

• Handle complex, non-standard, or ad-hoc tasks as assigned by the GM, Internal Audit & Forensics
