Job Description
Planning and developing appropriate programs, strategies and activities for counselling and guidance at the University.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Planning and developing appropriate programs, strategies and activities for counselling and guidance at the University.
- Counselling and guiding staff and students on resolving their problems.
- Compiling and maintaining a record of useful information on Guidance and Counselling services and making it available to the clients.
- Supporting the department in developing and disseminating guidelines on the available counselling and guidance services.
- Conducting counselling and guidance sessions as appropriate.
- Referring clients to other specialized services entities as found appropriate following evaluation.
- Liaising with other entities to get appropriate information or support that can enhance counselling and guidance services.
- Researching, evaluating and selecting instructional materials and equipment to support counselling and guidance programs.
- Organising and conducting counselling and guidance training programs and workshops.
- Responding to queries from parents and other internal and external clients taking into account the applicable principles of confidentiality and non-disclosure.
- Performing any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
