Key Result Areas

Regulatory Monitoring & Compliance

1. Track and analyze regulatory changes and ensure timely adaption.

2. Monitor compliance with industrial laws, regulations and standards.

Policy Development & Implementation

1. Assist in the development, review and implementation of compliance policies and procedures.

2. Ensure that internal policies are aligned with external regulatory requirements.

Compliance Audits & Reporting

1. Conduct regular compliance audits and assessments.

2. Prepare and submit compliance reports to regulatory authorities and senior management.

Stakeholder Engagement

1. Laise with regulatory bodies, legal advisors and industrial stakeholders on compliance matters.

2. Act as a primary focal person for regulatory inquiries and inspections.

Risk Management

1. Identify and assess compliance risks within the organisation.

2. Recommend and implement mitigation strategies to address identified risks.

Training & Awareness

1. Develop and deliver compliance training programs for employees.

2. Promote a compliance focused culture through regular awareness initiatives.

Person Specifications

Academic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Business Administration, Regulatory Affairs, Compliance Management, or related field.

• A postgraduate Diploma in Regulatory Compliance, Legal Practice, or Risk Management is an added advantage.

Experience

• At least 4 years of experience in regulatory compliance, risk management or related fields.

• Experience working in the energy or utilities sector is desirable.

• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and standards governing the energy industry.

Competencies

• Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements and industry standards.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Proficiency in report writing and documentation.

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.

Working Environment

• Office-based with occasional travel to attend regulatory meetings, audits or site inspections.

• Collaborative work setting requiring regular interaction with internal and external stakeholders.
