Bank of India (Uganda) Limited officially started operations on 18th -June-2012 by opening its first branch in Kampala-Uganda. We have bouquet of personal and corporate banking, Instant Fund Transfers and lucrative Foreign Exchange products which can be further be customized to satisfy customer requirements.
Our bank is wholly owned subsidiary of Bank of India, one of the largest public sector banks in India, established in 1906 and having banking expertise and tradition of over 100 years. The Bank has over 5000 branches in India spread over all states/ union territories including specialized branches. These branches are controlled through 54 Zonal Offices. The Banking supervisor will prepare and review loan proposals and submit them to competent authority for recommendation/ approval and disbursements on sanctioned terms and conditions

The appointment shall be subject to successful academic vetting, reference checks and satisfactory due diligence report
Prepare loan proposals and submit them to competent authority for approval/sanction Disbursement upon compliance of sanctioned terms & conditions
Analyze applicants’ financial status, credit and property evaluations to determine feasibility of granting loans
Explain to customers the different types of loans and credit options that are available as well as the terms/conditions of those services
Verification of account opening, capturing limits etc in finacle system
Obtain and compile copies of loan applicants, credit histories, corporate financial statements and other financial information
Liaise with Bank’s lawyers, valuers for fastest delivery of given work
Review and update credit and loan files
CRB data management (as an alternate arrangement), preparation of all regulatory reports including BS 100 pertaining to credit department
Conduct pre-sanction and post-sanction inspections and preparing its report.
Portfolio management, monitoring of loans
Mentoring, guiding staff working under you
Any other duties and responsibilities assigned by management from time to time
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
The ideal candidate will have the following:
Bachelor s Degree in a Business related field from a recognized Institution
Basic Knowledge in computer is a must
Experience
At least two (2) years working experience in Credit Department in a Bank/Financial Institution
Ability to work in a busy environment
Behavioural Competences
Highly organized person, with ability to multitask with ease Leadership skills Integrity Team player
Emotional intelligence skills
Highly organized person, with ability to multitask with ease
Technical Competences
Sound knowledge of business management
PHYSICAL DEMAND OF THE JOB
The job requires long sitting hours
AGE
Preferably below 40 years. However. Management reserves the right for determining the age criteria even below /above 40 years keeping in view the experience/qualifications. etc
