Job Description
Platinum Specialists Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to provide leadership in the Finance Department. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing financial operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong internal controls, supporting budgeting processes, and ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements. The role requires a strategic thinker with strong technical accounting expertise and experience managing complex financial operations, preferably in a healthcare environment.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day financial operations and ensure accurate maintenance of financial records
- Prepare timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports
- Lead the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial plans, and monitor budget performance
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax laws, statutory requirements, and internal financial policies
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, payroll, and cash flow
- Conduct bank, supplier, and balance sheet reconciliations and ensure accuracy in all financial transactions
- Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard hospital assets
- Support external and internal audits by preparing required documentation and resolving queries
- Provide financial insights to management to support strategic decision-making
- Supervise, mentor, and provide guidance to junior finance staff
- Contribute to financial process improvements and efficiency initiatives within the hospital
- Perform any other related duties assigned by Management
