Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Project planning and Implementation
Map out & establish nutrition care groups in selected communities with support of Village Health Teams and Community Leaders.
Design specific Social Behaviour Change Communication interventions and develop key messages.
Take lead in development of culturally appropriate materials for the different channels, including translation and printing of the IEC materials in local languages
Take lead in raising awareness on nutrition sensitive interventions and the importance of good nutrition, benefits of optimal nutrition and overall livelihood household enhancement.
Plan and facilitate care groups to conduct food and cooking demonstrations for the community care groups
Capacity Building and Training
Take lead in developing curriculum for training of care group volunteers
Facilitate care group volunteer training and care group lesson roll-out on a monthly basis (monthly modular trainings)
Build capacity of Nutrition Assistants on the care group model and roll-out of the care group curriculum
Projection Monitoring, reporting and evaluation
Prepare weekly, monthly and activity reports for targeted supplementary feeding programme and Maternal and Child Health Nutrition (MCHN)
Collaborate with the Communications lead to properly document the project's human-interest stories, best practices, and lessons learned.
Partnership and networking
Foster strong partnerships with various stakeholders, including local government and other development actors, to address social behaviors impacting nutrition and health within the target communities.
Participate in inter-agency meeting at the zonal/ settlement level.
Foster an environment that supports values of women and men, and equal access to information.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Minimum education, training and experience requirements to qualify for the position
Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition & Dietetics, Community Psychology, Social Sciences, or Public Health and other related qualifications.
Minimum of 03 years’ experience in community nutrition, public health related implementation Experience in Community Based Nutrition Programming and Implementation in line with the Integrated Management of Acute Malnutrition guidelines.
Experience implementing Targeted Supplementary Feeding Programme
Experience in Maternal and Child Health and Nutrition ProgrammeEnglish language proficiency and professional license is added advantage
Proven experience in project cycle management, overseeing all stages from planning and implementation to monitoring and evaluation.
Good understanding of WFP and donor guidelines, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
Strong proficiency in nutrition project planning, coordination, and execution, ensuring effective implementation and measurable outcomes.
Experienced in delivering training and providing mentorship, fostering the development of high-performing teams.
Passionate about capacity building, actively working to strengthen staff skills and organizational capabilities.
