Job Description
The role of Sanlam Financial Adviser – Peak MO Bluestar involves acquiring new clients and servicing existing ones with tailored financial planning and product offerings. Advisers are expected to generate sustainable business aligned with company targets, foster long-term client relationships, and ensure compliance with industry regulations. Responsibilities include prospecting through social and business networks, conducting financial needs analyses, developing client portfolios, and presenting financial solutions professionally. Advisers must monitor client activities, respond to changes (such as policy maturities or cancellations), and review portfolios annually. The role also requires delivering excellent customer service, continuous personal development, and reporting on progress against revenue and activity targets.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Commit to distribution strategy targets for business growth.
Prospect and network to generate new client opportunities.
Convert trusted relationships into business relationships.
Strengthen existing client relationships and identify service gaps.
Conduct financial needs analyses using Sanlam’s tools and systems.
Provide professional financial planning and advice.
Present balanced financial solutions aligned with Treating Customers Fairly (TCF).
Monitor and respond to client activities (maturities, cancellations, surrenders).
Conduct annual reviews of client portfolios.
Deliver ethical, courteous, and professional client service.
Document and report on contacts, consultations, issued business, and revenue.
Continuously update skills and industry knowledge to remain effective.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Education and Certifications:
Grade 12 (Matric).
FAIS "Fit and Proper" requirements.
Regulatory Examination completed if registered with FSCA for more than 24 months.
Knowledge and Skills:
Financial advisory and support.
Business development and revenue generation.
Compliance and risk management.
Client relationship management.
Financial planning and recommendations.
