Job Description
Work with project and functional teams to build procurement plans; issue RFQs/RFPs/tenders; evaluate bids on price/quality/delivery/compliance; draft/negotiate contracts per templates and DoA; maintain supplier database and performance; raise/track POs through payment with Finance; manage all procurement documentation with strict version/access control, retention and archiving; train users on document systems; compile monthly/quarterly reports; minute meetings and track actions; prepare packs for reviews/audits; and support risk mitigation and POPIA-compliant data handling.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Procurement planning: Consolidate needs and timelines; maintain divisional plans
Sourcing & tendering: Prepare RFQs/RFPs/tenders; obtain/comparatively assess quotes
Contracting & compliance: Draft/align contracts to templates & DoA; uphold policy, ESG, and legislation
Supplier management: Identify/register/evaluate suppliers; manage relationships & performance
PO management: Issue/track POs; verify invoices; ensure timeous payments with Finance
Document control: Govern creation, storage, retrieval, distribution; version & access control; retention/archiving/disposal; user support/training
Reporting & admin: Monthly/quarterly reports; meeting minutes & action tracking; audit support; maintain accurate records and presentations
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Education & Experience
Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, or related field
3–5 years in procurement/supply chain (renewable energy/construction/engineering preferred)
Strong Excel; proficient in Word, Outlook, SharePoint
Procurement systems (e.g., LexisNexis, Oracle) advantageous
Competencies
Clear communicator; organised, methodical, detail-oriented
Manages multiple cycles and deadlines; resilient and proactive
Compliance-oriented with strong ethics; collaborative across functions
