Job Description
Immerse in Weylandts’ brand pillars to identify and deliver growth initiatives across Retail, Studio, Hospitality, B2B, and Property. Build and own KPIs and P&L-aligned budgets per division; optimise current strategies; open new revenue streams (exports, international retail/visibility, partnerships, wholesale/production synergies); and ensure divisions operate cohesively as one brand. Lead national retail performance, elevate Studio marketing/positioning, grow Hospitality/B2B pipelines, and align Property’s plans to brand and commercial goals. Partner with Marketing on targeted briefs and global brand positioning. Coach leaders, institutionalise performance and innovation, and run data-driven planning, reporting, and reviews.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Strategy & Growth
Define and execute group-wide growth strategy and divisional roadmaps
Set/own divisional KPIs, revenue & cost budgets; report on performance & variances
Identify new revenue streams (exports, international retail/visibility, strategic partnerships)
Division Leadership
Retail: Drive sales, profitability, CX; lead National Retail Operations Manager (direct) and Retail Managers (dotted)
Studio: Grow awareness and pipeline with Marketing; dotted engagement with Studio leadership
Hospitality & B2B: Build deal pipeline and industry relationships; direct B2B Manager; dotted oversight of Hospitality PMO
Property: Align investments/developments to brand & growth strategy (dotted)
Marketing & Brand
Co-create targeted marketing briefs; steer international brand positioning
Position Studio as market-leading; ensure Hospitality price point/occupancy discipline
People & Performance
Serve on EXCO; act as brand ambassador; lead and mentor senior managers
Build high-performance culture with clear strategy → execution → results linkage
Operational Excellence & Innovation
Institute data-driven budgets/forecasts; monitor and optimise processes and structures
Champion innovation in CX, channels, and product/service delivery
Identify reusable capabilities across projects; remove duplication and inefficiency
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Minimum: Business-related degree
Advantageous: Postgrad in strategy/leadership/international trade
Experience: 12–15+ years’ senior leadership across multi-division or diversified businesses (ideally premium/design-led or customer-centric); proven multi-stream growth (retail + B2B); international trade/exports/global partnerships a plus; P&L leadership across multiple units
Competencies: Strategic vision; entrepreneurial drive; influential executive leadership; strong commercial & financial acumen; data-driven decision-making; innovation in marketing/international expansion/CX; collaborative EXCO-level partner
