Job Description
The ideal candidate will be tasked with leading strategic and operational efforts across sales and marketing functions. Responsibilities include sourcing B2B clients, driving digital marketing campaigns, managing customer engagement, and overseeing partner relationships. The role requires collaboration across departments to ensure alignment of supply and demand, continuous improvement of customer experiences, and the strengthening of Farm to Feed’s market positioning. A strong passion for sustainable agriculture, climate resilience, and circular economy models is essential.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Develop and implement integrated sales and marketing strategies aligned with company goals
Source and secure B2B clients (hotels, restaurants, processors, retailers, institutions, exporters)
Generate and nurture leads through partnerships, events, and strategic activations
Build, train, and lead a high-performing sales team
Oversee digital marketing activities including SEO, paid media, CRM campaigns, and social media
Optimize marketing budgets to maximize ROI on acquisition and retention campaigns
Ensure alignment between operations, sourcing, product, and marketing teams
Analyse customer behavior and feedback to refine sales strategies and improve service
Use CRM and analytics tools to improve campaign effectiveness and customer satisfaction
Lead brand storytelling efforts to highlight Farm to Feed’s social and environmental impact
Conduct market research to identify emerging opportunities and customer trends
Manage stakeholder engagement with partners, buyers, and mission-aligned collaborators
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in sales and marketing
At least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role
Experience in startups, agribusiness, FMCG, or sustainable food systems is highly preferred
Proven success in B2B and B2C sales and digital marketing
Strong experience with CRM platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce) and marketing automation tools
Strong analytical and decision-making abilities using customer insights and campaign data
Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Passion for sustainability, circular economy, and climate resilience in Africa
