Job Description
Based in Lagos (Eko1 Tower), the Reservoir Geologist evaluates and updates geological/reservoir models; proposes data acquisition and specialist GSR studies; analyzes seismic/well data; and guarantees high-quality geological syntheses. The role designs and supports drilling projects (trajectory, objectives, data acquisition) with Geophysics, Drilling, and Subsurface, and ensures geological consistency of flow simulation models, volumes-in-place estimates, and uncertainty analysis. Responsibilities include preparing/leading technical reviews (HAZOP-style for process interfaces as applicable, PTRs), participating in HQ/partner committees, data rooms, and negotiations for certification/equity projects, as well as mentoring junior geologists. Work is performed under tight deadlines and occasional operational constraints.

How to Apply
Maintain and enhance geological understanding of turbidite reservoirs; integrate new seismic/well data.
Evaluate/update geological & reservoir models; conduct QA/QC on inputs and outputs.
Propose/justify GSR studies and data acquisition to improve subsurface evaluations.
Design/support drilling projects (trajectory, objectives, equipment, data plan) up to Well Location Report.
Ensure geological consistency with flow simulation models; assess in-place volumes and uncertainties.
Provide process-ready documentation to Operations, Maintenance, Well Performance, Development Planning, etc.
Lead/participate in technical reviews; close out audit/review actions.
Coordinate specialist studies; ensure “as-built” data management and G&G documentation quality.
Interface with HQ, partners, and authorities on reservoir/basin geology; participate in data rooms.
Train and provide hands-on guidance to junior geologists.
BSc/MSc in Geology (or equivalent).
6–10 years’ experience in reservoir geology and modeling, with solid operational geology skills.
Strong proficiency with Petrel and Sismage; familiarity with dynamic simulation interfaces.
Advanced skills in seismic/well data integration, turbidite reservoir characterization, volumetrics & uncertainty.
Clear technical reporting/presentation; ability to work under tight deadlines and operational constraints.
Strong stakeholder engagement with HQ, partners, authorities.
