Job Description
The relationship manager workplace banking will report to the manager Personal and Institutional Banking and will be based at head office. He/she will be responsible for acquisition, overseeing and selling of appropriate bank products/Services to salaried customers from employers while delivering as the primary workplace banking relationship contact person within the bank. Developing and Maintaining a proactive customer advisory relationship management that includes effective consultative selling and structuring of solutions for potential or existing customers in line with set targets, services and service standards and strategic objectives of the bank.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Specific responsibilities include.
- Provide sales support by developing market sales plans to achieve responsible sales targets for the team.
- Initiate and drive initiatives to accelerate new business and strengthen relationships on the existing schemes
- Generation of MOUs with institutions, writing business proposals to employers, negotiating terms to grow the Salary loan portfolio.
- Participate in the design and formulation of the salary loans and workplace strategy, policies, procedures and guidelines and ensure the implementation of procedures and guidelines across the branches
- Obtain higher share of mind from existing and new customers by offering superior services, competitive pricing and flexible product range.
- Working actively with the Relationship Team, IT and operations personnel to drive growth of liabilities through sell of various bank products in the Public Sector space.
- Monitor product development and pricing of competitors. Anticipate market trends and counter competitive pressures.
- Visit prospective companies to profile them into schemes and acquire new businesses for salary loans
- Maintain a comprehensive database of existing schemes and ensure relationship management.
- Identify customer needs and proactively seek to provide products/ services to meet the identified needs.
- . Provide feedback to credit on non-performing loans within the schemes working together with the branches
- Responsible for the timely resolution of customer complaints and issues.
- Market a portfolio of deposit accounts with the objective of raising Institutional Banking deposits at minimum cost
- Provide branches with direction to grow salary loans
