Job Opportunity: Registrar – Admissions

Reports to: Academic Registrar
Engagement: Full-Time Contract
Duration: 3 Years (Renewable upon satisfactory performance)
Duty Station: Main Campus – Ggaba Road, Kampala, Uganda
Job Summary:
King Ceasor University is seeking a committed and experienced Registrar – Admissions to support the Academic Registrar in organizing and coordinating all activities related to student admissions. The role ensures that all admission processes are handled efficiently, in line with university policies and regulatory standards.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Oversee the admission and registration process for new students across all university programs.
Advise the Academic Registrar on student compliance with university admission requirements.
Coordinate and implement admission and transfer procedures in consultation with the University Admissions Board.
Review and evaluate all student application documents, including forms, transcripts, certificates, and other supporting materials.
Assist in developing and implementing university policies and procedures related to student registration through to graduation.
Provide insights for the improvement of the student enrollment management system.
Serve as a liaison between functional and technical teams for upgrades, issue tracking, and problem resolution related to admissions systems.
Guide prospective students in making informed career choices based on their academic performance and aspirations.
Work closely with schools and departments to resolve student registration, graduation, and academic record concerns.
Support the Academic Registrar in planning and organizing university ceremonies.
Organize and provide secretarial services for academic boards and committees instituted by Senate.
Supervise and assess the performance of staff within the Admissions Office.
Ensure smooth and professional operations of the Admissions Office.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Required Competencies & Attributes:

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong leadership and organizational skills.
Proficient in the use of computers and digital tools.
Must be not more than 55 years old at the time of application.
Qualifications & Experience:
A Master’s degree in Education (Administration, Planning, or Management), or a related field from a recognized institution.
A Bachelor’s degree in Education or a relevant discipline from a recognized institution.
Demonstrated experience in admissions, academic administration, or a related field is highly desirable.
