Job Description
A leading metal recycling and manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Regional Security Manager to join their team in Rustivia, Germiston.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing security operations across Gauteng and Mpumalanga, ensuring the protection of company assets, effective risk management, and compliance with all relevant legislation and security protocols.
The ideal candidate will have strong leadership ability, extensive security management experience, and a proactive approach to operational security.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Oversee asset protection initiatives and implement effective risk management strategies to prevent theft and fraud.
- Manage and optimize security operations across Gauteng and Mpumalanga facilities.
- Supervise internal security teams and external security service providers.
- Investigate security incidents, breaches, and emergencies, ensuring detailed reporting and corrective action implementation.
- Monitor and maintain the effectiveness of security systems and equipment, including CCTV infrastructure.
- Ensure compliance with company security procedures, protocols, and relevant legislation.
- Manage and monitor security-related budgets and implement cost-effective security solutions.
- Liaise with SAPS, management, and third-party stakeholders regarding security matters and investigations.
- Handle administrative functions related to security operations, including reporting and license compliance.
- Ensure Second-Hand Goods licenses remain valid, compliant, and correctly displayed.
