Job Description
Stella Maris High School is seeking a dedicated Mathematics Teacher to join its academic team in Abuja. The role involves planning and delivering effective lessons that cater to diverse student needs while maintaining high curriculum standards. The successful candidate will foster an inclusive learning environment and utilize modern educational resources to enhance student performance.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging and effective mathematics lessons that meet the needs of students and curriculum requirements.
- Develop and implement lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessments to support student learning and development in mathematics.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters student engagement, participation, and collaboration in mathematics learning.
- Differentiate instruction to accommodate diverse learning styles, abilities, and interests of students in mathematics.
- Assess student progress, track academic performance, and provide timely feedback to students and parents in mathematics.
- Establish and maintain open communication with students, parents, and colleagues to support student success and address concerns in mathematics education.
- Integrate technology and multimedia resources into mathematics lessons to enhance teaching and learning experiences.
- Participate in professional development activities, workshops, and conferences to enhance mathematics teaching skills and knowledge.
- Collaborate with other teachers, administrators, and support staff to support school initiatives and goals in mathematics education.
- Engage in reflective practice and continuous improvement to enhance teaching effectiveness and student outcomes in mathematics.
