Job Description
As a Geography Teacher you will instructs students on physical environments, human cultures, and earth sciences. They develop engaging curriculums, assess student progress through exams, and foster global awareness. In Nigeria, for example, they prepare students for major examinations like WAEC and NECO.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Lesson Planning & Delivery: Prepare and deliver well-structured lessons in line with relevant curriculums (e.g., Nigerian National Curriculum, British IGCSE).
- Assessments: Create, administer, and grade assignments, tests, and exams to monitor student understanding and track academic progress.
- Classroom Management: Maintain a positive, stimulating, and disciplined learning environment that encourages active student engagement.
- Fieldwork & Practical Learning: Organize and supervise practical geography activities, such as data collection, field studies, and local excursions.
- Reporting: Communicate student performance and areas for improvement with parents and school administration.
- Cross-Curricular Support: Integrate related disciplines like earth sciences, environmental awareness.
