Junior Achievement Uganda (JA), a non-profit international organization operating since 2008 Reg. NO. INDR85334810NB prepares young people to succeed in the 21st-century global economy through experiential learning in financial literacy, employability, and entrepreneurship.
JAU is poised to implement a range of programs in 2024, aiming to impact over 100,000 youths in career readiness, entrepreneurship, and leadership. This initiative targets various groups, including NEETs, secondary school graduates unable to access university, TVET trainees, urban slum youths, refugees, school dropouts, young women in vulnerable communities, and students.

Community Engagement: Regional mobilizers are responsible for engaging with local communities to understand their needs, concerns, and priorities. This involves building relationships, fostering trust, and creating dialogue to ensure community participation and ownership of initiatives.
Capacity Building: They facilitate capacity-building activities within communities to enhance their knowledge, skills, and resources. This may include training workshops, skill development programs, and educational sessions aimed at empowering community members to take proactive roles in decision-making and implementation.
Coordination and Networking: Regional mobilizers coordinate with various stakeholders including government agencies, non-governmental organizations, community-based organizations, and other partners to ensure alignment of efforts and resources. They also establish and maintain networks to facilitate collaboration and information sharing.
Advocacy and Awareness: They advocate for the interests and needs of communities at regional and national levels. This involves raising awareness about relevant issues, mobilizing support for initiatives, and influencing policies and decision-making processes to address community concerns.
Monitoring and Evaluation: Regional mobilizers monitor the progress and impact of programs or initiatives within their designated regions. They collect data, assess performance against set targets, and identify challenges or opportunities for improvement. This information is crucial for making informed decisions and adjustments to program implementation.
Resource Mobilization: They play a role in mobilizing resources, both financial and non-financial, to support community initiatives. This may involve fundraising, grant writing, leveraging partnerships, and accessing available resources from government or donor agencies.
Conflict Resolution: In some cases, regional mobilizers may be called upon to facilitate conflict resolution and mediation within communities. They help to identify root causes of conflicts, promote dialogue and reconciliation, and foster peaceful coexistence among community members.
Documentation and Reporting: Regional mobilizers document the activities, outcomes, and lessons learned from their interventions. They prepare regular reports, case studies, and documentation to communicate progress and impact to stakeholders, donors, and the broader community.

Bachelor's degree, preferably in Education, Business, Mass Communication, Social Sciences, or related fields.
Minimum of one year of professional experience in teaching, working, or volunteering with youth.
Experience working with Out of out-of-school youth is advantageous.
Proficiency in training large teams in entrepreneurship, work readiness, and financial literacy.
Capacity to mobilize participants for community-based training.
Ability to establish and maintain strategic partnerships at the regional level.
Strong stakeholder management skills.
