Job Summary:
Our client, a business in facility management is looking for a QC Officer for their cleaning services division.
A Quality Control job in cleaning services will involve inspecting cleaning work to ensure it meets company and client standards, monitoring the cleaning processes, identifying any deficiencies, documenting findings, reporting issues, and providing feedback to cleaning staff and management for improvement. Responsibilities also include understanding cleaning procedures, maintaining good housekeeping, complying with safety policies, and ensuring client satisfaction through consistent quality.

Inspections and Audits: Conduct regular on-site inspections of cleaned areas to verify that the level of cleanliness, sanitation, and order meets established standards and client expectations.
Quality Monitoring: Observe cleaning staff and monitor the use of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and procedures to ensure they align with company quality and safety protocols.
Issue Identification: Detect any quality issues, defects, or deviations from standard procedures and document them thoroughly.
Data Collection and Reporting: Collect data on inspection findings, track pass/fail rates, and prepare detailed reports for management, noting trends and suggesting areas for improvement.
Corrective Actions: Collaborate with management and cleaning staff to investigate quality issues and help implement effective corrective actions to resolve problems and prevent recurrence.
Client Communication: Liaise with clients to discuss cleaning issues, address concerns, and ensure their cleaning needs and satisfaction levels are met.
Training and Coaching: Provide feedback and coaching to cleaning staff on proper techniques, adherence to schedules, and completion of tasks to improve overall quality.
Compliance and Safety: Ensure that all cleaning activities comply with company health and safety policies, procedures, and relevant regulations.
Documentation: Maintain accurate and organized records of all quality control activities, including inspection reports, audit results, and corrective actions taken.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
A Degree of Diploma in the related field
Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to notice even minor imperfections in cleaning and order.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with clients and staff.
Knowledge of Cleaning Standards: Familiarity with cleaning best practices, equipment, products, and safety protocols.
Time Management: Ability to manage time effectively to conduct inspections and complete reports within established timelines.
Problem-Solving Skills: Capacity to identify issues, analyze causes, and suggest appropriate solutions.
Professionalism and Accountability: A high standard of professionalism and a commitment to quality and accountability.
Independence and Teamwork: Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
