Job Description

Job Vacancy: Quality Assurance Officer

Organization: Uganda Nurses and Midwives Council (UNMC)

Location: Uganda

Salary Scale: UNMC 4

Reports to: Senior Inspection and Quality Assurance Officer

Supervises: None

Duties, Roles and Responsibilities

  • Compile and organize data to support the development and review of quality assurance tools.

  • Monitor operations and practices for compliance with the Council’s quality assurance framework.

  • Provide technical support to departments on implementing and improving quality assurance systems.

  • Prepare and submit regular reports on quality assurance activities.

  • Conduct training and sensitization sessions for staff and stakeholders on quality management systems.

  • Analyze quality assessment data and offer technical recommendations to relevant authorities.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies

Education:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or Midwifery from a recognized university.

  • Must be registered with the Uganda Nurses and Midwives Council and hold a valid practicing license.

Experience:

  • At least 2 years of relevant professional experience in a recognized institution or organization.
