Job Description
The Quality Assurance Manager will oversee and maintain all Quality Management Systems, including ISO 9001, FSSC 22000, HACCP, OHS, and EMS. The role involves supervising quality audits, implementing corrective actions, ensuring finished products meet regulatory standards, and leading the Quality Assurance and Control teams. The ideal candidate will act as the custodian of food safety processes, drive continuous improvement initiatives, oversee consumer complaint investigations, and collaborate with production, procurement, sales, and logistics teams to maintain quality consistency.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Oversee and maintain Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001, FSSC 22000, HACCP, OHS, EMS).
Lead quality audits and ensure compliance with process and regulatory standards.
Approve finished goods for release and guarantee product compliance.
Supervise and mentor Quality Assurance and Quality Control teams.
Oversee review and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across production and supply chains.
Conduct root cause analyses and lead corrective and preventive actions.
Manage consumer complaint investigations and ensure prompt resolution.
Collaborate with other departments to uphold product quality and consistency.
Prepare and present regular quality performance reports to management.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Bachelor’s Degree in Dairy Technology, Food Science, or related field (Diploma with extensive experience accepted).
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a QA or QC leadership role within dairy or food manufacturing.
Strong knowledge of HACCP, ISO standards, and food safety regulations.
Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
Proven experience in laboratory management, auditing, and process optimization.
