Job Description
This internship opportunity provides recent graduates with hands-on experience in supporting ICT initiatives in education. Interns will assist in the deployment and use of digital learning devices, train teachers on ICT integration, and provide first-line technical support. They will also be instrumental in facilitating e-learning, safeguarding ethical technology use in schools, and supporting innovations in digital education.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Support e-learning and digital content development in line with approved schemes of work.
Train and assist primary school teachers in the use of digital literacy devices.
Support the implementation and sustainability of the Digital Literacy Programme.
Innovate ways to improve digital learning uptake and effectiveness in schools.
Promote and support ethical, safe, and secure use of ICT in learning environments.
Help integrate ICT in teaching, learning, and assessment processes.
Assist in developing school policies and procedures related to ICT use.
Offer first-line maintenance and technical support for digital devices and services.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Minimum Requirements:
Graduated in 2020 or later.
Hold a Bachelor's Degree in Education (ICT specialization) or a Bachelor's in ICT, OR a Diploma in ICT/ICT Integration in Education from a recognized institution.
Proficient in networking, infrastructure, applications development, cybersecurity, and project management.
Ability to integrate ICT with education, including e-learning content creation.
Willingness to be deployed on a full-time basis to any Sub-County in Kenya.
Additional Skills:
Innovative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Strong interpersonal and training skills.
Technical aptitude and willingness to support non-technical users.
Commitment to ethical use of technology in education.
