Job Description

The Project Officer will play a critical role in co-leading and executing nutrition and food security interventions within vulnerable communities. The position entails planning, implementing, monitoring, and reporting on agriculture-based enterprise development projects. The successful candidate will facilitate trainings, support community mobilization, engage stakeholders, ensure compliance with project timelines and budgets, and foster partnerships with government and private entities. This role is essential for ensuring impactful implementation of agricultural value chains and enterprise support strategies across the targeted areas.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food/Agribusiness, Agricultural Economics, Enterprise Development, or related fields.

  • At least 3 years’ experience in agribusiness programming, especially in ASAL (Arid and Semi-Arid Lands) communities.

  • Strong knowledge of community structures and agricultural value chain development.

  • Experience working with small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

  • Excellent communication, community mobilization, and stakeholder engagement skills.
