Are you an experienced project manager looking for an opportunity to use your skills to bring significant transformation to disadvantaged communities in your nation? We need a PM to oversee a multitude of projects varying in size and scope from simple taps and toilets in slums across Kampala to large, mixed-use developments all in aid of serving the poor.
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and finalising construction projects according to deadlines and budgets in cooperation with all stakeholders. This role requires excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Manage project scope, goals, and deliverables
Develop project plans, including timelines and budgets
Identify project risks and issues and develop appropriate mitigation strategies
Allocate resources in accordance with set budgets and manage project teams
Ensure effective communication and collaboration among project stakeholders
Monitor project progress and adjust project plans as needed
Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of stakeholders
Bachelor’s degree in a related field, such as Civil Engineering and architecture
A degree or postgraduate qualification in project management is MUST
Proven experience Of 5 - 7 years in project management, delivering projects on time and within budget
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools
Experience in managing cross-functional teams and stakeholders
Ability to identify and manage project risks and issues
Proficient in basic software, such as Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook
Proficient in project delivery software, such as Microsoft Project, AutoCAD, and/or SketchUp
Desired Skills
Experience in the charity sector or international ministry
